My name is Keith Walker and i'm the pastor of One Accord Independent.
I was saved at the age of 18 years old, but temptation forced me out of God's will
and back into the world. For Some 15 years being a musician
I played in clubs and bars and was pulled by my own lust further away
from God. I became addicted to alcohol it became the thorn in my
flesh that almost destroyed my life. But the prayers of my saved
wife and family were being answered and I didn't know it.
In 1993 I knelt and asked God to forgive me of my sins and use me for
his glory. God is so merciful he delivered from my sins and addictions.
I began to attend church at Upper Room Tabernacle under pastor
Norman Greene as my home church. After a few years of sitting on the pew
I knew that God had put a calling on my life. I knew that if I was going to
do anything for God's glory I had to get up and out of the pew and go as
Jesus said. I spent a year cleaning the church and bathrooms. In 1996 I was
given the opportunity to teach adult sunday school which I did and took
seriously and faithfully. In 1997 I was asked to become the asst. pastor
of Upper Room Tabernacle which I did for 4 years faithfully.
In 2001 God called me to go out from under pastor Norman Greene
to go preach the gospel for the saving of souls and the glory of God.
That same year we rented a store front building and started
One Accord Independent with only 8 members souls were already
coming to Christ before the doors were even opened.
We have since grown and have relocated to a bigger building.
We know have 70 to 80 members strong weekly for service
God is so good to us and I'm blessed to be apart of such
a loving church. If you are looking for the perfect church to attend
by all means One Accord Independent is not the church for you.
If you are looking for a church were God's mercy, forgiveness, and
the truth of God's word is preached you may find what you need
here. Please come visit with us and if God tells you to stay
we would love to have you but if not by all means find a good
God fearing church that God would have you attend.
